Dear Friends,
In the outset let me express my gratitude to the honourable Chairman, President and members of MST & SMC for inviting me as a mentor and advisor to work with you. In a career span of nearly four decades of teaching experience I have learned many amazing things from children across the nation. Working with various formats of management from individuals, corporates and for a very longer time in government sector gave me many learning experiences.
I had the privilege of interacting with the best minds of my time in India like Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on one side and the guy on the street who struggle to survive for the day on the other side. Both taught me precious things of life.
I was on the peak of fame and excellence at certain times. While sometimes I saw the fragility of all achievements and the vulnerability of human life.
In the rat race of the survival of the fittest, it was amazing to see that the weakest even survive along with the fittest, and they fail all sciences of survival. What an irony!
It was surprising to know that every child is born with immense potentialities. As they grow, the more learned people tell them that they are chicks and cannot soar above the turbulent winds and clouds like an eagle. I think friends you know the story of the eagle who laid eggs in a hurry in the chicken nest and flew away.
As the chicks of hen came out of eggs, so did the baby of eagle. The eagle chick thought that like his siblings around s/he is also from mother hen. He started scratching and digging the earth for worms like his siblings. Spent the days like his brethren doing things that chicken do. Spoke the language of chicken and played the tricks that they did. He cried and laughed and dodged the falcons taking shelter under mother like chickens. Wow! never knowing that he is a different person, he slept every night as a chicken.
One day he saw a powerful big bird soaring much high in the skies. He told his siblings, look at that bird, and is not that amazing to fly in such altitudes. His brethren rebuked him saying, we are chicks; we cannot soar in such altitudes. The pity of learning at times makes you chicks. It makes you live miserably all the life making noises like chicken, getting scared by seeing big birds and animals without realizing that you are an eagle that can soar in the high altitudes above all turbulent weather and yet can see what is happening down on earth.
Friends, you are born to fly but learning wrong things makes you the eagle chick of the story with wrong convictions and understanding who lived and died like chicken, miserably not knowing who really he was.
Right education empower you to soar high in life, yet we live on planet earth that is why sustainability becomes important in life. As we move ahead, we will learn many things on that.
Thanks for reading. Have a pleasant stay in MSS.
